Mauro Proserpio joined IBM in 1981 as System Engineer. Since the early stages of his career, he gained a deep knowledge of IT enterprise infrastructures and networking solutions.
From 1992 to 1999 he was assigned to IBM networking lab in US and France, becoming IT Senior Architect and a core member of the IBM global technical community. Since 2000, he moved to IT Consulting practice, he led complex engagements with clients aimed at assessing and redesigning their enterprise networks.
In 2003, Mauro became an IT Executive Consultant and joint IBM’s banking sector as Global Technology Services leader. In 2007, he moved his responsibility at European level, expanding business and technical consulting practice, innovation initiatives and designing new reference architecture.
In 2008, Mauro has been appointed as IBM Distinguished Engineer, and assigned to the IBM UniCredit Integrated Account as Technical Advisor. As member of IBM Academy of Technology, since 2009, Mauro has also developed a global competence in positioning the IBM Global Technology Outlook strategy and roadmap. Early 2011, he pioneered the componentization of Cloud computing model and its IBM Reference Architecture for the industrialization of IT services.
From September 2013 Mauro has been appointed to lead the Value Creation Center within Value Transformation Services (V-TServices) an IBM Subsidiary, jointly created between IBM and UniCredit. During these years of work, Mauro led the development of innovation framework to design and deploy emerging computing technologies such as Cognitive Solutions, Digital Security, Cloud DevOps platform and BlockChain as Open Tech.
